General Support Questions

Where can I go to sign up for the Millenium 3 Internet?
Just stop by our store or give us a call and we can set you up in minutes.

What does it cost?
Millenium 3 has designed 3 great plans to choose from, beginning at only $9.91 a month. Please visit the
Internet page for more information on the prices and available options of these plans.

How fast do I connect to Millenium 3 Internet service?
Millenium 3 Internet supports V.90 technology, giving up to 53Kbps of downstream bandwidth, and up to 33.6Kbps of upstream bandwidth.

What is my email address?
Your email address is username@m3internet.com. For example, if your username is "joecool", then your email address will be "joecool@m3internet.com".

Does Millenium 3 Internet support Macintosh, UNIX, and other operating systems?
Yes, Millenium 3 Internet is compatible with any OS that can establish a PPP connection. In particular, we know that users of Red Hat, Debian, and Mandrake Linux are currently using our service. Our tech support staff can assist with basic questions on these platforms, but will not always be able to answer specific questions.
PLEASE NOTE that nearly all winmodems (or ""controllerless modems"") are incompatible with any operating system other than Microsoft Windows (an exception are the Lucent and IBM chipsets). Also please note that we explicitly do not support hardware or OS-related issues such as modem installation and system administration. For those issues, we recommend that you contact your OS vendor, local users group, or check your PC into our in-house service department.

Does Millenium 3 Internet provide Usenet service for dial-up customers?
Sorry, but at this time, we do not provide any kind of NNTP service, including Usenet and netnews. We may implement a news server on our network in the future. In the meantime, we would like to refer you to Google as an alternative news feed provider.

Does Millenium 3 Internet allow telnet access to my email? How about pine or mutt?
No, Millenium 3 Internet does not allow shell access to customer accounts. We do allow unrestricted POP3 access, so customers are able to receive their email using any mail client compliant with the POP3 protocol. Please note that although it is possible to receive your email using POP3, you will still have to find a different SMTP server than mail.m3internet.com to send mail if you are not connected to our network. To prevent unsolicited commercial email ("spam"), we do not allow access to our SMTP server from outside our network.

Millenium 3 Internet Dial-up

Does Millenium 3 Internet offer static IP addresses on my dial-up networking connection?
No, Millenium 3 Internet does not offer static IP addresses on our dial-up products at this time.
